At Jagadguru Kripalu University (JKU), we believe that opportunities for world-class education and personality development should be accessible to all who aspire for them. Hence, our scholarship programs are designed to encourage academic excellence, reduce financial barriers to quality education, and nurture the aspirations of young minds with confidence and dignity.

JKU offers three categories of scholarships across all its courses.

JKU Merit Scholarship Categories
Category A
Jagadguru Kripaluji Maharaj Scholarship for Academic Excellence
The top 10 percent of students in the JKU Admissions merit list will be offered this scholarship.
Category B
Swami Mukundananda Scholarship for Academic Distinction
The next 10 percent of students in the JKU Admissions merit list will be offered this scholarship.
Category C
Chancellor's Scholarship for Academic Merit
The subsequent 10 percent of students in the JKU Admissions Merit list will be awarded this scholarship.

All scholarships will be awarded by Jagadguru Kripalu University based on merit. The University's decisions on scholarships shall be final and binding. The scholarships are sponsored by the Jagadguru Kripalu Yog Trust.

2 Criteria For Jagadguru Kripalu University Merit-Based Scholarships

These will be awarded to incoming students based on their Merit Ranking on the JKU Admissions list.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • The merit ranking for applicants to Graduation courses will be decided based on a well-rounded criteria comprising Class 12th Board Marks, JEE Score, and Personal Interview.
  • The merit ranking criteria for Post Graduation courses will comprise of Graduation Score, PG Entrance Rank/Score, and Personal Interview.
  • The top 10 percent students in the JKU Admissions merit list will be offered the 'Jagadguru Kripaluji Maharaj Scholarship for Academic Excellence'.
  • The next 10 percent students will be offered the 'Swami Mukundananda Scholarship for Academic Distinction'.
  • The next 10 percent students will be offered the 'Chancellor's Scholarship for Academic Merit'.
  • For scholarship amounts offered annually in a course, click here.
  • The Student is eligible only for one scholarship under any one of the categories. If a student avails a government/company/external grant-sponsored scholarship from any other entity or person, the student will no longer be eligible for the JKU scholarship.
  • The scholarship will be renewed each year based on performance and other criteria.

Scholarship Renewal Criteria for all courses in JKU second year onwards

A scholarship is renewable from year to year till the completion of the course based on the following terms and conditions:

  • A Scholarship Renewal application must be submitted by the student each year, based on their academic performance.
  • The Student must maintain a good academic performance commensurate with the Category of the scholarship.
  • The Student is eligible only for one scholarship under any one of the categories. If a student avails a government/company/external grant-sponsored scholarship from any other entity or person, the student will no longer be eligible for the JKU scholarship.
  • The Student is required to have atleast 80% attendance, without any arrears papers/subjects.
  • Complaints against the student regarding indiscipline or violation of the code of conduct will lead to forfeiture of the scholarship.
  • The grant of scholarship will be subject to the student's adherence to the rules, regulations and policies of JKU during the preceding year.
  • The decision of the University on scholarship renewal shall be final and binding.

3 Tuition Fee Grants For Meritorious School Board Performance

The categories and eligibility criteria for the Tuition Fee Grant for Meritorious School Board performance are outlined below.

Merit-cum-Support Grant – Category I

Students securing 90% or above in Class XII, with a strong and consistent academic record, and who qualify in the University's Entrance Examination and Personal Interview (PI) to secure a place on the merit list, shall be eligible for a 50% Tuition Fee Grant sponsored by JK Yog Trust, subject to University-approved norms and the recommendation of the University Scholarship Committee.

Merit-cum-Support Grant – Category II

Students securing between 80% and 89.9% in Class XII, with a strong and consistent academic record, and who qualify in the University's Entrance Examination and Personal Interview (PI) to secure a place on the merit list, shall be eligible for a 34% Tuition Fee Grant sponsored by JK Yog Trust, subject to the University-approved norms and the recommendation of the University Scholarship Committee.

Note 1: Applicants are required to complete all admission requirements, including Entrance Examination and Personal Interview (PI). Subsequently, based on their outstanding performance in the school board examinations, they will become eligible for the above tuition fee grants.
Note 2: Tuition Fee grants and scholarships cannot be combined, and only one financial benefit offered by JKU can be availed by a candidate (e.g.: applicants who avail any tuition fee grant are not eligible for any other scholarships offered by JKU). However, candidates who are eligible for government scholarships or grants can avail of these benefits in addition to their admission to the University. The University will provide the necessary support and guidance to help students apply for and receive these benefits.

4 Scholarships Schemes By Government/Company/External Grants

The Central Government, State Governments, various private organizations and charitable trusts in India offer a wide range of scholarship schemes to support students on the basis of academic merit, financial need, talent, and social inclusion. These initiatives aim to ensure that deserving students have access to quality education and opportunities for holistic growth.

For the convenience of students, a few scholarship portals have also been listed below. These platforms provide a consolidated repository of scholarship opportunities across diverse categories, enabling students to explore, compare, and apply for schemes relevant to their eligibility and aspirations.

Note 1: The list below is only indicative. Students are welcome to explore scholarship avenues beyond this list. JKU does not have any formal association or collaboration with any of the listed schemes or organizations.
Note 2: A Student is eligible only for one scholarship in JKU. If the student avails a government/company/external grant-sponsored scholarship, the student will have to revert the JKU scholarship amount to the University Trust.
